Live Beading Demonstration & Exhibition:
Molly Murphy-Adams
(TULSA)—Lovetts Gallery, Saturday, May 7th
Saturday, May 7th -
Lovetts Gallery is bringing together two lauded female artists, both
of whom are museum-collected, national award recipients, Native, and
entirely unique within their field. Please join us in welcoming
Anita Fields (Osage/Creek) and Molly Murphy-Adams (Oglala/Lakota
Heritage) on Saturday, May 7th for their live demonstration and
exhibition.
This is event promises to be an interesting visual and tactile
experience, as Anita sculpts emotively with clay, working with
figurines, bowls, figuratives, masks, and abstracts, while Molly is
a scientist-turned-contemporary beadworker, sculpting 3-dimensional
molecular designs, functional purses, clutches, and jewelry, all
infused with Native technique, design, and symbology.
The public is invited to join Lovetts Gallery Saturday, May 7th,
from 10:00am to 5:00pm, to watch and interact with Anita Fields and
Molly Murphy-Adams. All works will be available for sell on a
first-come basis. The exhibition will run through June 15th.
